Niz sjajnih naslova koje gledamo izvan Zagreba uklju\u010duje ‘Julie je odlu\u010dila \u0161utjeti’, napetu studiju karaktera izvr\u0161ne producentice Naomi Osake i kontroverznu iransku romansu ‘Moja najdra\u017ea torta’, koju prate progoni i zabrane. Na festival sti\u017eu islandska redateljica Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir i slavni scenarist i redatelj R\u00fanar R\u00fanarsson<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zagreb, 25.09.2024. – Dio prepoznatljive atmosfere Zagreb Film Festivala (4. \u2013 10. 11.) i ove c\u0301e se godine prenijeti izvan granica glavnoga grada. ZFF putuje (7. \u2013 10. 11.) odr\u017eava se niz godina u kinima \u010dlanovima Kino mre\u017ee te s online programima omogu\u0107ava filmofilima u brojnim gradovima diljem Hrvatske da, paralelno sa zagrebac\u030ckom publikom, u\u017eivaju u odabranim zeefefovskim naslovima. Ove godine to su filmovi ‘Julie je odlu\u010dila \u0161utjeti’, ‘Moja najdra\u017ea torta’, ‘Lars je LOL’ i ‘Sami u Reykjaviku’.<\/p>\n

Julie Keeps Quiet ; Fotografiju ustupio ZFF<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

‘Julie je odlu\u010dila \u0161utjeti’ (Julie Keeps Quiet) iz dugometra\u017enog natjecateljskog programa 22. ZFF-a napeta je studija karaktera uronjena u svijet profesionalnog tenisa \u010diji su koproducenti bra\u0107a Dardenne, a izvr\u0161na producentica tenisa\u010dica Naomi Osaka. Film prati tinejd\u017eericu Julie (glumi je briljantna Tessa Van den Broeck, koja je i sama tenisa\u010dica), talentiranu polaznicu elitne teniske akademije koja se na\u0111e usred skandala s trenerom-zlostavlja\u010dem, na koji odlu\u010duje reagirati \u2013 \u0161utnjom. Dugometra\u017eni prvijenac belgijskog redatelja Leonarda van Dijla premijerno je prikazan u programu canneskog Tjedna kritike. Dobitnik je nagrade SACD za scenarij, a nominiran je i za ovogodi\u0161nju Nagradu publike LUX.<\/p>\n

Iranska romanti\u010dna drama ‘Moja najdra\u017ea torta’ (My Favourite Cake) redateljskog dvojca Maryam Moghaddam i Behtasha Sanaeeha topao je i \u0161armantan portret usamljene 70-godi\u0161nje udovice koja odlu\u010duje u \u017eivot dodati malo ljubavnog za\u010dina. Predivnu pri\u010du o ljubavi dvoje umirovljenika (Lili Farhadpour i Esmail Mehrabi) na\u017ealost prati niz progona i zabrana: nezadovoljne prikazom junakinje bez hid\u017eaba i scenama ispijanja vina, iranske su vlasti u vi\u0161e navrata redateljima oduzimale putovnice i stavljale ih u ku\u0107ni pritvor, a posljednji put uo\u010di \u0161vedske premijere sredinom rujna. Film je ovacijama do\u010dekan na premijeri u Berlinu gdje je osvojio nagradu FIPRESCI i Nagradu Ekumenskog \u017eirija. Film se prikazuje u programu Festivali pod reflektorom u suradnji s Festivalom mediteranskog filma Split, na kojem je osvojio nagradu publike za najbolji film iz programa Parangal te Druga strana Mediterana.<\/p>\n

Najmla\u0111e filmofile razveselit \u0107e norve\u0161ki obiteljski film ‘Lars je LOL’ iz programa KinoKino. Dugometra\u017eni prvijenac Eirika S\u00e6tera Stordahla pri\u010da je o jedinstvenom prijateljstvu djevoj\u010dice Amande i dje\u010daka Larsa, koji ima Downov sindrom. ZFF putuje tako\u0111er uklju\u010duje film ‘Sami u Reykjaviku’ (Solitude) iz programa pro\u0161logodi\u0161njeg ZFF-a. Dugometra\u017eni prvijenac islandske redateljice Ninne P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir (Svi psi odlaze \u2015ZFF 2020) bavi se nesvakida\u0161njim prijateljstvom, a nastao je prema scenariju ZFF-ovoj publici dobro poznatog autora R\u00fanara R\u00fanarssona. Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir i R\u00fanar R\u00fanarsson bit \u0107e gosti 22. ZFF-a. P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir je \u010dlanica dugometra\u017enog \u017eirija, a R\u00fanarsson \u0107e predstaviti svoj film i odr\u017eati masterclass.<\/p>\n

Uz Ninnu P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir \u017eiri dugometra\u017enog filma \u010dine producentica Anamaria Antoci (Tangaj Production, Rumunjska) te selektorica i kuratorica Sonja Baksa (TIFF Short Cuts, Vancouver Film Festival, Kanada). \u017diri kratkometra\u017enog filma \u010dine: Daniel Soares (Portugal), dvostruki laureat ZFF-a (Samo neka uspije \u2013 Zlatna kolica 2023, Ono \u0161to ostaje \u2013 Posebno priznanje 2022); David Ga\u0161o (Hrvatska), redatelj Niske trave, pro\u0161logodi\u0161njeg pobjednika Kockica i selektorica Yulia Serdyukova (Kurzfilm festival Hamburg). Excellent films on the program outside Zagreb include Julie Keeps Quiet, an intense character study with Naomi Osaka as executive producer, and controversial Iranian romance My Favourite Cake marked by bans and persecution; Icelandic director Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir and famous writer and director R\u00fanar R\u00fanarsson to attend the festival<\/strong><\/p>\n

Part of the well-known amiable atmosphere of the Zagreb Film Festival (November 4 \u2013 10) will once again overflow outside the limits of the capital city. For a number of years, the program ZFF Travels (7 \u2013 10 November 2024) has been held in member cinemas of the Croatian Independent Cinemas Network and, together with online programs, allows film buffs in numerous cities across Croatia to enjoy selected ZFF titles alongside Zagreb audiences. This year, these films are Julie Keeps Quiet, My Favourite Cake, Lars is LOL and Solitude.<\/p>\n

Julie Keeps Quiet in competition at this year\u2019s 22nd ZFF is a tense character study immersed in the world of professional tennis, co-produced by the Dardenne brothers, with tennis player Naomi Osaka as executive producer. The film follows teenager Julie (played by the brilliant Tessa Van den Broeck, herself a tennis player), a rising star at an elite tennis academy who finds herself in the midst of a scandal involving an abusive coach, to which she responds \u2013 with silence. The feature film debut of Belgian director Leonardo van Dijl premiered in the Critics\u2019 Week at Cannes. It won the SACD Award for Best Screenplay, and was also nominated for this year\u2019s LUX Audience Award.<\/p>\n

Iranian romantic drama My Favourite Cake, by directing duo Maryam Moghaddam and Behtash Sanaeeh, is an endearing portrait of a lonely 70-year-old widow who decides to add a little spice of love to her life. This heart-warming love story between two pensioners (Lili Farhadpour and Esmail Mehrabi) has unfortunately been marked by a series of persecutions and bans: dissatisfied with the portrayal of the main female protagonist without a hijab and scenes of drinking wine, the Iranian authorities have repeatedly confiscated the directors\u2019 passports and placed them under house arrest, the last time just before the film\u2019s Swedish premiere in mid-September. The film received a standing ovation at its premiere in Berlin, where it won the FIPRESCI Award and the Ecumenical Jury Prize. The film is shown in the program Festivals in the Spotlight, in cooperation with the Split Mediterranean Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.<\/p>\n

The youngest film fans will be delighted by the Norwegian family film Lars is LOL from the KinoKino program. Eirik S\u00e6ter Stordahl\u2019s feature debut is a story of the unique friendship between girl Amanda and boy Lars, who has Down\u2019s syndrome. ZFF Travels will also feature the film Solitude presented in last year\u2019s ZFF program. The feature-length debut by Icelandic director Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir (All Dogs Die \u2013 ZFF 2020) portrays an unusual friendship, while its script was penned by director and writer R\u00fanar R\u00fanarsson, already a well-known name of the ZFF audience. Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir and R\u00fanar R\u00fanarsson will also attend the 22nd ZFF \u2013 P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir as a member of the feature film jury, while R\u00fanarsson will present his latest film and hold a masterclass.<\/p>\n

Along with Ninna P\u00e1lmad\u00f3ttir, the feature film jury will consist of producer Anamaria Antoci (Tangaj Production, Romania) and selector and curator Sonja Baksa (TIFF Short Cuts, Vancouver Film Festival, Canada). The short film jury will be comprised of: Daniel Soares (Portugal), two-time ZFF laureate (Please, Make It Work \u2013 Golden Pram 2023; What Remains \u2013 Special Mention 2022), David Ga\u0161o (Croatia), director of last year\u2019s Checkers program winner, Short Cut Grass, and festival selector Yulia Serdyukova (Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg). The best film in the program Together Again will be decided by a jury composed of producer Hrvoje Osvadi\u0107, film editor Klara \u0160ovagovi\u0107 and director Andrej Korovljev.<\/p>\n
