Predstava opisuje paradoks preko broda koji plovi na moru, umjesto originalne verzije o Ahileju i kornja\u010di. Ova jednostavna tema o nepremostivnoj udaljenosti izme\u0111u ljudi unato\u010d njihovoj nao\u010diglednoj bliskosti ponavlja se u vi\u0161e navrata: Am\u00e9liejina udaljenost od oca nakon smrti majke, udaljenost njezinog prijatelje od \u017eene koja je \u010desti gost kafi\u0107a u kojem Am\u00e9lie radi kao konobarica, udaljenost njezinog prijatelja slikara od svoje vizije Renoirove djevoke s \u010da\u0161om koju poku\u0161ava reproducirati, i u kona\u010dnici Am\u00e9lijine udaljenosti od misterioznog stranca koji skuplja rastrgane fotografije po kabinima za fotografiranje po Pariskim metroima. Am\u00e9lie nakon smrti majke napu\u0161ta oca i nalazi posao konobarice u pari\u0161kom kafi\u0107u. Iako ima mnogo prijatelja, s nikim ne dijeli nikakve romanti\u010dne interese, niti ima ikoga s kim je zapravo bliska. Scenografija je diznajirana na na\u010din da prikazuje multiple lokacije. U isto vrijeme prikazana je stanica podzemne \u017eeljeznice, kabina za fotografiranje, katedralu Notre Dame, stan na Montmartreu i caffee bar, ovisno kako se pojedini elementi poslo\u017ee. Zanimljiv element je upotreba lutke kao Amelie djevoj\u010dice, paraleno uz egzistenciju odrasle Amelie, za demonstraciju njezinog djetinjstva. Prvih tridesetak minuta posve\u0107eno je \u2018uvodu\u2019 kojim se prikazuje Amelijino odrastanje i odnos s roditeljima.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uz pjesmu, u\u017eivo se izvodi i glazba s gotovo punim orkestrom (klavir, violina, flauta, violon\u010delo, zve\u010dke, itd.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Da je Audrey Brisson (Amelie) radila s Cirque Du Soleil (kao akrobat) vidljivo je iz scene u kojoj se elegantno, jednom rukom dr\u017ee\u0107i za luster, podi\u017ee do prvog kata scenografske konstrukcije u svoj stan. Francusko-kanadska glumica neodoljivo podsje\u0107a na filmsku Amelie Audrey Tautou.
