Napad ona nije pre\u017eivjela. Jedan mu \u010dovjek u muzeju na samrti ukazuje na malenu sliku Carela Fabritiusa koju je njegova majka posebno voljela i koju Theo potom uzima. Ostav\u0161i sam i izgubljen, bez obitelji i rodbine i bez mjesta za \u017eivot, k sebi ga prima bogata obitelj njegova \u0161kolskog prijatelja. U hrvatskom izdanju imamo ga priliku \u010ditati u nadahnutom prijevodu Nevene Erak Camaj, dok je naslovnica preuzeta s originalnog ameri\u010dkog izdanja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Andy Weir<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Marsovac<\/strong><br \/>\nprijevod: Predrag Mavar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prije \u0161est dana, astronaut Mark Watney postao je jedan od prvih ljudi koji su hodali povr\u0161inom Marsa. Smjesta je odu\u0161evio publiku i privukao odli\u010dne kritike, a ve\u0107 ga mo\u017eemo gledati i u hrvatskim kinima u re\u017eiji Ridleyja Scotta, s Mattom Damonom i Jessicom Chastain u glavnim ulogama.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Philip Roth<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Tragovi na du\u0161i<\/strong><br \/>\nprijevod: Ivana Ostoj\u010di\u0107<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na samom prijelazu stolje\u0107a Philip Roth napisao je roman koji kroz pri\u010du o Colemanu Silku govori o nedavnoj pro\u0161losti Amerike vi\u0161e negoli ve\u0107ina faktografskih djela.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pri\u010da zapo\u010dinje 1998. godine u jeku jedne od najve\u0107ih seksualnih afera zbog koje je predsjednik dr\u017eave primoran odstupiti s du\u017enosti, a s druge strane, u gradi\u0107u u Novoj Engleskoj sli\u010dno se doga\u0111a cijenjenom sveu\u010dili\u0161nom profesoru Colemanu Silku nakon \u0161to ga otpu\u017ee za rasizam. Ili ih je progutala kmica? re\u010denica je, interpretirana na (o\u010dekivan) politi\u010dki na\u010din, koja je Colemana ko\u0161tala svega \u0161to je do tada stvorio. A \u010ditatelj \u0107e se vrlo brzo zapitati \u2013 je li ironija njegove sudbine mogla biti ve\u0107a? Doga\u0111aji zatim slijede u dramati\u010dnom taktu \u2013 izop\u0107enje od strane prijatelja i kolega, smrt supruge izazvana emocionalnom traumom, udaljavanje od djece, a na koncu i burna seksualna veza s dvostruko mla\u0111om \u017eenom, nepismenom \u010dista\u010dicom Faunijom Farley. Upravo u tom stanju potpune \u201cseksualne opijenosti\u201d, u svojoj sedamdeset i prvoj godini, zatje\u010de ga pripovjeda\u010d romana Nathan Zuckerman. Zaveden pri\u010dom svog karizmati\u010dnog junaka, Zuckerman prolazi, u napetom i odlu\u010dnom ritmu, kroz rasnu i rodnu politiku, rat u Vijetnamu, besmisao politi\u010dke korektnosti, problem opadanja intelektualnih kriterija i komercijalizacije sveu\u010dili\u0161ta, ispisuju\u0107i povijest SAD-a druge polovice 20. stolje\u0107a, ali i pravi literarni i imaginativni tour de force.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roman <strong>Tragovi na du\u0161i<\/strong> po mnogima je Rothov najbolji roman u kojem su njegov knji\u017eevni talent, pripovjeda\u010dka zrelost i kreativna vje\u0161tina dosegnuli umjetni\u010dki zenit. Roman je osvojio nekoliko presti\u017enih knji\u017eevnih priznanja kao \u0161to su Nagrada W. H. Smith, Nagrada PEN\/Faulkner, i Prix M\u00e9dicis \u00e9ntranger.
