Zanimljivo je da je &#8216;Mama&#8217; provela jedan tjedan na i vrhu ameri\u010dkog box-officea, ali je brzo prepustila mjesto drugom filmu. Za vrijeme suvremenog sloma ameri\u010dke burze, pomahnitali otac ubije dvojicu partnera i suprugu, pa sa svoje dvije male k\u0107erke autom pobjegne negdje u divljinu. Nakon prometne nesre\u0107e pronalazi duboko u \u0161umi napu\u0161tenu ku\u0107u u kojoj namjerava dokraj\u010diti svoju obitelj, ali ga ne\u0161to u tome sprije\u010di. Pet godina nakon toga brat ubojice i dalje financira potragu za njima, sve dok ne prona\u0111u podivljale djevoj\u010dice u napu\u0161tenoj kolibi. Privikavanje na civilizaciju nije jednostavno, ali Luca (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) i njegova djevojka (Jessica Chastain) \u017eele &#8216;pripitomiti&#8217; djevoj\u010dice (Megan Charpentier &amp; Isabelle N\u00e9lisse). Uvjet je da to naprave u posebnoj ku\u0107i pod nadzorom psihijatra. Na pitanje kako su mogle pre\u017eivjeti u divljini, djevoj\u010dice otkrivaju da su imale Mamu, me\u0111utim, nitko ne vjeruje u postojanje ne\u010dega irealnoga&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mama | A Short Film By Andy Muschietti\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hlLTmEXFVv8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mama je ustvari duh koji ih je uzeo u za\u0161titu, a koji dolazi za njima kako bi ih i dalje \u0161titio. U njegovo postojanje uskoro \u0107e se bolno uvjeriti dvoje novih staratelja, a i sam psihijatar. Scene s Mamom izvan konteksta su odli\u010dne, ali u zadnjoj tre\u0107ini filma, prilikom razrje\u0161enja njezinog identiteta, po\u010dinje prevladavati mlaka sentimentalnost.
