Te\u0161ko je re\u0107i bi li se njegov junak Georg Wilhelm Pabst, jedan od najve\u0107ih njema\u010dkih filmskih redatelja svoga vremena, slo\u017eio s ovakvom interpretacijom svoje \u017eivotne pri\u010de, ali morao bi piscu \u010destitati na umije\u0107u da nam prenese unutarnje sukobe i moralne dvojbe umjetnika koji se u naponu stvarala\u010dke snage zatekne u re\u017eimu Tre\u0107eg Reicha.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I stvarni Pabst, ba\u0161 kao u ovom romanu, od tog se re\u017eima poku\u0161ao spasiti bijegom u Hollywood, gdje mu ni dogovori s velikom Gretom Garbo nisu donijeli slavu kakvu je pri\u017eeljkivao i kakvu je imao kod ku\u0107e. No sve ono \u0161to mu se doga\u0111alo kad se spletom okolnosti vratio u domovinu, gdje mu nude da opet <span class=\"s2\">snima, ali po narud\u017ebi Hitlerova Ministarstva propagande, <\/span>Danielu Kehlmannu bilo je sjajan materijal za roman o pojedincu na vjetrometini povijesnih zbivanja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; width: 100%;\" src=\" https:\/\/fraktura.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/9789533588148-0.jpg \" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fotografiju ustupio <strong><a href=\" https:\/\/fraktura.hr\/proizvod\/kao-na-filmu\/ \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Feaktura<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>Kao na filmu<\/i> ipak nije samo portret jednog \u010dovjeka, nego i duboka meditacija o mo\u0107i filma, krhkosti ljudske savjesti i cijeni koju pla\u0107amo za odluke koje donosimo u izazovnim vremenima. Kehlmannov elegantan stil i uvjerljivost u o\u017eivljavanju jedne epohe, ali i duhovitost u naga\u0111anju o redateljevim mukama \u010dine <span class=\"s3\">ovaj roman istovremeno napetim trilerom i pomalo sarkasti\u010dnom <\/span>moralnom dramom ostavljaju\u0107i \u010ditatelja da se zapita gdje je granica izme\u0111u umjetnosti i odgovornosti i koliko kompromisa mo\u017ee podnijeti ono \u0161to zovemo op\u0107im dobrom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cRemek-djelo. Kehlmannov roman je slagalica. Ondje se \u0161kolovao u isusova\u010dkom kolegiju te\u00a0 studirao filozofiju i njema\u010dki jezik. \u017divi u Berlinu, Be\u010du i New Yorku. Iznimnu popularnost stekao je romanima <em>Mahlerovo vrijeme<\/em>, <em>Ja i Kaminski<\/em>, <em>Mjerenje svijeta<\/em>, <em>F<\/em> i <em>Slava<\/em>, koji su kao izvorna i prijevodna izdanja odmah po objavljivanju postali bestseleri. Gostuju\u0107i je predava\u010d na vi\u0161e njema\u010dkih sveu\u010dili\u0161ta i u New Yorku. Kriti\u010dkim i esejisti\u010dkim tekstovima zastupljen je u utjecajnim publikacijama; jedna od nekoliko njegovih zbirki eseja, <em>Izmi\u0161ljeni dvorci<\/em>, objavljena je i na hrvatskom jeziku. Za svoje knjige, prevedene na vi\u0161e od \u010detrdeset jezika, dobio je brojne nagrade i priznanja, izme\u0111u ostalih nagrade Candide, Zaklade Konrad Adenauer, Doderer, Kleist, WELT i Thomas Mann, a nedavno i nagrade Friedrich H\u00f6lderlin, Schubart i Anton-Wildgans. Roman <em>Mjerenje svijeta<\/em> (2005.), o Alexanderu von Humboldtu i Carlu Friedrichu Gaussu, najve\u0107i je knji\u017eevni uspjeh u njema\u010dkoj poslijeratnoj literaturi, dok se roman <em>Tyll<\/em> (2017.) godinu dana nalazio na njema\u010dkim listama najprodavanijih knjiga i 2020. bio u finalu The International Booker Prize.
