The multi award-winning Cabaret returns to Oxford this February.\u00a0Bill Kenwright presents Rufus Norris\u2019 multi award-winning production of Kander and Ebb\u2019s landmark musical,<\/i> which plays at the New Theatre Oxford from February 4 \u2013 8 as part of a UK tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starring as the enigmatic Emcee is John Partridge<\/b>, winner of Celebrity MasterChef<\/i> in 2018, who is well known to TV audiences as EastEnders<\/i>\u2019 charismatic Christian Clarke, and one of West End theatre\u2019s most prolific leading men (A<\/i> Chorus Line<\/i>, Chicago<\/i>, and La Cage Aux Folles)<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The role of Sally Bowles will be played by Kara Lily Hayworth<\/b> who recently won rave reviews across the country for her portrayal of Cilla Black in Cilla the Musical<\/i>, after she was discovered by Bill Kenwright during the show\u2019s nationwide TV auditions.<\/p>\n

Kara said: \u201cI owe a huge amount to Bill Kenwright! Back in 2017 when I first decided to go to the open auditions for Cilla, I had no idea how much my life would change. I had been working professionally for a long time, but this was a real turning point in my career, and I am so grateful to Bill for taking a chance on me. And now for him to trust me to take on another leading role (my absolute dream role) I feel so unbelievably lucky!\u201d<\/p>\n

And joining them is singer and screen icon Anita Harris<\/b> in the role of Fraulein Schneider. Anita first rose to fame as a singer in the 1960s, beginning a lifelong career as a performer and actress. She has appeared both on screen (Follow That Camel<\/i> and Carry on Doctor<\/i>) and on stage, most notably as Grizabella in the West End\u2019s Cats.<\/i><\/p>\n

Cabaret<\/i> features show-stopping choreography, dazzling costumes and iconic songs, including \u2018Money Makes the World Go Round\u2019, \u2018Maybe This Time\u2019 <\/i>and \u2018Cabaret\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Directed by critically acclaimed Rufus Norris<\/b>, the production has enjoyed two smash hit West End runs at The Lyric and The Savoy theatres.<\/p>\n
