Cooper i Ernesta B. Schoedsacka izazivala je strah i nevjericu kod publike. Ogromno majmunsko \u010dudovi\u0161te pokazalo je osje\u0107aje prema ljudskoj djevojci (danas nepoznata Fay Wray) i \u0161titilo je od zra\u010dnih napada na vrhu nebodera. Holivudski moguli ne odustaju od recikliranja akcijskih uspje\u0161nica koje privla\u010de publiku, tako da je 1976. snimljen spektakularni &#8216;King Kong&#8217; u re\u017eiji Johna Guillermina, u kojem bespomo\u0107nu djevojku utjelovljuje Jessica Lange. Deset godina kasnije slijedio je i katastrofalni nastavak (3,8 prema IMDb-u), danas manje poznat &#8216;King Kong \u017eivi&#8217; (King Kong Lives, 1986.), opet u re\u017eiji Johna Guillermina. Dvadesetak godina kasnije veliki Peter Jackson, nakon megauspje\u0161nih &#8216;Gospodara prstenova&#8217;, snima svoju verziju &#8216;King Konga&#8217; (2005.) koja podsje\u0107a na &#8216;Jurski park&#8217;, a \u0161to je posebno privuklo publiku u kina. King Kongova cura ovaj puta je Naomi Wats. Veliki majmun ima potrebe za svojom Barbikom, i nije odu\u0161evljen ako je netko \u017eeli uskratiti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ove godine dolazi jo\u0161 jedan &#8216;Kong: Otok lubanja&#8217;, film s ekolo\u0161kom porukama, a \u0161to je u skladu sa svjetskim trendovima. Osamljeni otok negdje daleko na oceanu, zaklonjen vremenskim (ne)prilikama, pitanje je da li je mogu\u0107e da danas takvo ne\u0161to postoji. Zatvoreni ekolo\u0161ki sustav koji \u0107e naru\u0161iti znanstvena ekspedicija. Odli\u010dno tehnolo\u0161ki opremljena ekipa sukobit \u0107e se u bitci s ogromnim majmunom. Bahati znanstvenici i vojnici do\u017eivjet \u0107e poraz, a onda shvatiti da je Kong (vi\u0161e nije King Kong!) ustvari \u010duvar postoje\u0107eg stanja, koji sustav brani od ve\u0107e opasnosti&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Film je mo\u017eda u drugoj polovici, kada poslo\u017ei sve karte, ne\u0161to slabiji, ali \u0161alje sna\u017enu ekolo\u0161ku poruku dana\u0161njem svijetu koji postaje sve nesigurniji uslijed klimatskih i ostalih promjena. Pri\u010da nije gotova, jer je nakon zavr\u0161ne \u0161pice (za one koji imaju dovoljno \u017eivaca izdr\u017eati njeno trajanje) najavljen novi nastavak.. Ljudska rasa uni\u0161tila je dovoljno \u017eivotinjskih i biljnih vrsta na svoju \u0161tetu.
