Poslije \u0161oka zbog gubitka mu\u017ea (i polo\u017eaja), Jackie nastoji posthumno osigurati njegovu (i svoju) povijesnu valorizaciju i sve \u0161to \u010dini upu\u0107eno je medijskoj pozornosti. Ona kombinira detalje kojima izaziva sa\u017ealjenje i divljenje. Oplakuju\u0107i smrt mu\u017ea, Jackie oplakuje sebe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"spotlight\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent-mxp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/v\/t1.0-9\/16265756_1311035518935118_774395224432526579_n.jpg?oh=e5b7f7c8b22097ee67ede745adb39669&amp;oe=59213232\" alt=\"Image may contain: 1 person, indoor\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Film ne ulazi, osim nekoliko natuknica, u pitanje atentata, ve\u0107 posljedice koje je izazvao u statusu glavne junakinje, a ocjene doga\u0111aja i protagonista, napose nje same, prepu\u0161tene su njezinoj osobnoj interpretaciji. Pojedina\u010dne (potencijalno) kriti\u010dke primjedbe koje sadr\u017ee neka pitanja novinara poni\u0161tava njegov kona\u010dni zaklju\u010dak da je uspjela u svojoj namjeri da spektakularnim sprovodom (po uzoru na Lincolnov), koji su pratili milijuni TV gledatelja, osigura povijesnu impresiju. Doltada\u0161nnji njezini pothvati bili su preure\u0111enje Bijele ku\u0107e (prezentirano nastupom na televiziji) te odr\u017eavanje dru\u0161tvenih i kulturnih doga\u0111aja u kojima je sama bila zvijezda (prikaz koncerta slavnog violon\u010delista Casalsa u Bijeloj ku\u0107i).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jednostavno re\u010deno, Jackie \u017eeli slavu i to vje\u010dnu slavu. To je \u017eelio i Ahil, ali u Homerovo doba za slavu je bilo potrebno juna\u010dko djelo. Jackie nedostaju konkretni podvizi, ali uvjerena je u to da njen mu\u017e zaslu\u017euje povijesno mjesto (on nije bilo tko, i na taj na\u010din bira i njegovo posljednje po\u010divali\u0161te). Nedostatak velikih djela opravdava se nedostatkom vremena (manje od tri godine mandata), a ulogu Johna Kennedyja u Kubanskoj krizi komentira gotovo nezamjetnom primjedbom njegov brat Bob Kennedy (jedini \u010dlan obitelji Kennedy koji se pojavljuje u filmu i to kao bri\u017ean za\u0161titnik svoje snahe. Jednako implicitna je i Jackiena natuknica o bra\u010dnim odnosima koji su daleko od idealizirane slike koju \u017eeli plasirati, \u0161to djeluje kontradiktorno, ali nije. Ona \u017eeli priznanje za svoju \u017ertvu (zanemarene supruge), iako u idealiziranoj slici te \u017ertve ne mo\u017ee biti. U odnosu na svoju budu\u0107nost, pretjerana je njena zabrinutost za egzistenciju (prodajom namje\u0161taja osigurat \u0107e \u0161kolarinu za djecu? Mo\u017eda je to najava izgovora za budu\u0107u profitabilnu bra\u010dnu vezu). Dostojanstvene izjave u filmu daje sve\u0107enik (dragocjeni John Hurt) koji tje\u0161i udovicu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"spotlight\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent-mxp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/v\/t1.0-9\/16174653_1311035598935110_3667322369533964687_n.jpg?oh=f1b08a4244ced3a1891c3c4b2d0eb31e&amp;oe=590F204B\" alt=\"Image may contain: one or more people, people standing, crowd and outdoor\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jackie se \u010dini osobom na\u0161eg vremena u kojem bi jo\u0161 efektnije mogla plasirati svoju predsjedni\u010dku bajku. Njena sklonost predstavi, pompi i patetici jo\u0161 je vi\u0161e u skladu s ukusom digitalnog vremena nego na po\u010decima televizijske ere. Ne mo\u017eemo se oteti dojmu da bi se Jackie u dana\u0161nje vrijeme dru\u0161tvenih mre\u017ea i medija koji su na raspolaganju celebritijima (ili sami \u010dine instantne celebritije) bolje sna\u0161la koriste\u0107i izravne veze s masom koja, uostalom, voli spektakle i one koji im ih prire\u0111uju. Problem je samo da te mase nemaju provijesno pam\u0107enje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elegantno krhka Natalie Portman, u gotovo mr\u0161avijem balerinskom izdanju nego u Crnom labudu (Darren Aronofsky) predstavlja Jackie iscrpljenu nedavno pre\u017eivljenim \u0161okovima (zbunjuje detalj kad s te\u0161ko\u0107om poku\u0161ava skinuti vjen\u010dani prsten). Manje uspje\u0161no djeluje njena interpretacija govora Jacqueline Kennedy.
