Sandberg 2013. godine snimio je kratki trominutni film &#8216;Lights Out&#8217; koji je progla\u0161en najboljim kratkim filmom na Bilbao Fantasy Film Festivalu 2014 godine. Najboljim redateljem progla\u0161en je na <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bchorrorchallenge.com\/\">bchorrorchallenge.com<\/a><\/strong> (trenutno zatvorena). Efektan kratki film bio je dovoljan razlog da veliki studio (New Line Cinema) otkupi autorska prava i snimi dugometra\u017eni horor &#8216;Kad se svjetla ugase&#8217; u trajanju od 81. minute. Skepti\u010dan prema novim hororima koji se natje\u010du koji \u0107e imati manje ideje (kao i ameri\u010dke visokobud\u017eetne komedije), ali kao njihov uporni fan odmah sam pogledao ovaj film u multipleksu, i ostao ugodno iznena\u0111en. Re\u0107i \u0107ete \u010dudovi\u0161ta, ali to je toliko op\u0107enito i neodre\u0111eno, da je to vi\u0161e formalan odgovor nego pravo stanje stvari. Najvi\u0161e smo se bojali, i sada se navi\u0161e bojimo mraka. Mrak je nepoznanica u kojoj se ne\u0161to krije, a sama ma\u0161ta \u0107e u\u010diniti ostalo. Zamislit \u0107emo ne\u0161to najstra\u0161nije \u0161to nam izlazi iz podsvijesti, i toga \u0107emo se pani\u010dno bojati. Likovi u &#8216;Lights Out&#8217; susre\u0107u se s \u010dudovi\u0161tem koje mo\u017ee egzistirati jedino u mraku, svjetlo je za njega pogubno. Rebecca (Teresa Palmer) je oti\u0161la iz maj\u010dinog doma i sama \u017eivi. Nije moga vi\u0161e trpjeti maj\u010dinu &#8216;prijateljicu&#8217; Dianu (Alicia Vela-Bailey) koja je s majkom (Maria Bello) &#8216;do\u0161la&#8217; iz psihijatrije ustanove gdje se lije\u010dila od depresije. Sada je njezin brat Martin (Gabriel Bateman) u opasnosti, ali Diana je nepopustljiva unato\u010d maj\u010din molbama da ne dira njezinu djecu&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/82920243\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8216;Kad se svjetla ugase&#8217; dobar je primjer horora koji koristi elipse i sve ono \u0161to se malo vidi ili nazire u mraku. Neo\u010dekivani obrati u vrlo kratkom vremenu prikovat \u0107e vas za sjedala. Iznena\u0111uju\u0107a zavr\u0161nica spada u ne\u0161to najbolje \u0161to sam u posljednje vrijeme vidio u takvoj vrsti filmova. I nema onih glupavih dodataka koji najavljuju nove nastavke.
