Prethodna proslava, \u010deterdesetogodi\u0161njica im je &#8216;izmakla&#8217; jer je Geoff bio bolestan, i sada je nova prilika da se se obljetnici okupe prijatelji i rodbina. Pismo koje Geoff dobije iz \u0160vicarske bude u njemu stare uspomene, a i neke negativne osje\u0107aje kod njegove bra\u010dne dru\u017eice. U \u0161vicarskim Alpama na\u0111eno je smrznuto i dobro o\u010duvano tijelo djevojke s kojom je prije pedesetak godina Geoff ljetovao u Alpama, i koja je nesretnim slu\u010dajem prilikom izleta nestala u jednoj raspuklini. Stara i nikada zaboravljena ljubav odjednom uspostavlja novi odnos izme\u0111u supru\u017enika koji su do tada \u017eivjeli gotovo idili\u010dno&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suptilna melodrama o starijem bra\u010dnom paru koji \u0107e se na\u0107i u novom isku\u0161enju kako o\u010duvati ono \u0161to su godinama zajedni\u010dki gradili. Saznanja o ne\u010demu davnom \u0161to bi trebalo biti zaboravljeno potaknut \u0107e neke nove osje\u0107aje. Pro\u0161lost jednostavno ne mo\u017ee nikada biti izbrisana, i kad tad \u0107e se pojaviti u bilo kojem odnosu. Charlotte Rampling i Tom Courtenay sjajni su kao bra\u010dni par koji ima razumijevanja jedan prema drugom. Njihov odnos s novim saznanjima razvija se u smjeru koji poku\u0161avaju kontrolirati. Godine nisu bitne u stvarima koje mogu dovesti do nerazumijevanja i razvijanja negativnih emocija. Redatelj jako dobro i suptilno gradi napetost koja se razvija izme\u0111u dvoje glavnih likova, do zavr\u0161nice koja to u pravom trenutku smiruje.
