Tana\u0161na, ve\u0107 vi\u0111ena pri\u010da u dobroj produkciji. Grupica studenata sa svojim mentorom istra\u017euje fenomen smrti na \u017eivotinjama, da li je mogu\u0107e o\u017eivjeti nekoga tko je ve\u0107 mrtav. Izgledi da su uspjeli do\u0107i do \u010dudotvorne formule koja mrtve vra\u0107a u \u017eivot, svaki put predstavljaju razo\u010daranje, sve dok u jednom trenutku ne postignu uspjeh. I onda im se u laboratoriju dogodi nesretan slu\u010daj, njihova kolegica pogine, a oni je poku\u0161aju vratiti u \u017eivot. A kada se to dogodi, kod nje dolazi do promjena koje \u0107e se neugodno odraziti na njih&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sam naslov filma upu\u0107uje na to o \u010demu se radi. Lazar se digao iz mrtvih. U Frankensteinu, glavni lik je skrpan od nekolicine mrtvih i o\u017eivljen. Odli\u010dan predlo\u017eak koji je imao niz ekranizacija, kao i parodije. Spomenimo i efektni horor &#8216;Re-Animator&#8217; (1985.) Stuarta Gordona prema pri\u010di H.P.Lovecrafta u kojem se mrtvi o\u017eivljuju. Redatelj &#8216;Lazarovog efekta&#8217; David Gelb imao je dobrog producenta, ali slab scenarij koji nije iskoristio zadanu temu.
