Svojom kreativno\u0161\u0107u i dojmljivo\u0161\u0107u \u010desto zasjenjuje filmove koje prethodi. Sje\u0107ate se crti\u0107a Pink panter? Proiza\u0161ao je iz \u0161pice istoimenog filma iz 1963. godine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unato\u010d tome \u0161to je bitan element filma i legitimna umjetni\u010dka forma, filmska \u0161pica od Ameri\u010dke filmske akademije ne dobiva priznanje koje zaslu\u017euje. The New York Times i Vanity Fair u svojim tekstovima ve\u0107 godinama pozivaju Akademiju da uvede Oscara za najbolju filmsku \u0161picu, a Design Week izostanak te kategorije naziva &#8220;sramotom&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dodu\u0161e, kategorija je 1999. bila neuspje\u0161no predlo\u017eena. &#8220;Ako netko mo\u017ee smisliti valjani razlog za\u0161to je odbijena, voljeli bi ga \u010duti&#8221; pisao je The Economist. Portal posve\u0107en filmskim \u0161picama <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artofthetitle.com\/\">Artofthetitle.com<\/a><\/strong> pru\u017eio je odgovor &#8211; radi politike. Naime, Oscare biraju \u010dlanovi strukovnih organizacija u filmskoj industriji, a nju dizajneri \u0161pica jo\u0161 nemaju. Ovog puta siluetne ilustracije nisu plo\u0161ne ve\u0107 voluminozne, pa imaju izvrstan 3D efekt (film je ra\u0111en u 3D-u). Predstavlja likove iz filma u pojednostavljenoj siluetnoj formi sa simboli\u010dkim grafi\u010dkim motivima. Crno-bijelom bojom i zrcaljenjem grafika predstavlja dvoli\u010dnost likova. Iako je u filmu Lego svijet kompjuterski stvoren, \u0161pica je napravljena od 60.000 pravih kockica. Mukotrpnom tehnikom stop animacije animirano je desetak tematskih scena. Stilizirani &#8220;i&#8221; (&#8220;ja&#8221; na engleskom) nagla\u0161ava njegovu egocentri\u010dnost.
