Sam postav ima te\u017einu odmjerene kompozicije, svjesnog ulan\u010davanja elemenata, da ne ka\u017eemo ba\u0161 programatsko zna\u010denje. Naime, radovi su me\u0111usobno povezani bli\u017eim i daljnjim srodnostima, tehni\u010dkim prosedeima i kromatskim afinitetima, ujedna\u010denim dimenzijama i identi\u010dnim formatima. Na taj je na\u010din svaki kadar rije\u0161en kao autonoma jedinica no nu\u017eno postavljen u dijalog s neposredno susjednim, ali i s komplementarno su\u010deljenim, djelom, pa i sa cjelinom ansambla.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Slika u slici na neki na\u010din odjekuje, pa makoliko one same po sebi bile \u0161utljive i tihe, kad se njihovi odjeci umno\u017ee u\u010dinak opti\u010dke vibracije znatno se razgovjetnije \u010duje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8230;Najnoviji radovi Zlatana Vrkljana ne samo odbijaju svaku mimeti\u010dku ulogu i prezentativnu funkciju, nego upravo insistiraju na svojoj plasti\u010dkoj autonomiji, nefigurativnosti, apstraktnosti, \u010disto\u0107i. Dakle, umjesto struganja natalo\u017eenih slojeva imamo talo\u017eenje \u010ditave serije pikturalnih nanosa, od koji svaki odjekuje na onaj prethode\u0107i, ali u slo\u017eenoj igri odjeka relativizira vlastitu odre\u0111enost i pomalo se utapa u \u0161um i treperenje dominantnih tonova.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8230;Vrkljan ne te\u017ei brisanju tragova, nego upisivanju uvijek novih slojeva, nano\u0161enju pigmenta preko pigmenta. Stoga bi bilo neto\u010dno re\u0107i da su njegove slike sasvim li\u0161ene oblikovnih naznaka. Dapa\u010de, vrlo su eksplicitne u evidentiranju ishodi\u0161nih ritmova, nekoga unutarnjeg gibanja i proziranja \u201cpotko\u017ene\u201c razine. U po\u010detnim verzijama (a dijelom i u definitivnim varijacijama) jo\u0161 su se s odre\u0111eno\u0161\u0107u o\u010ditovali elipti\u010dni obrisi sredi\u0161njeg jezgra (da ne ka\u017eemo \u201cmotiva\u201c) slike, a bilo je i spiralnih, vrtlo\u017enih, virovitih kretanja. Napreduju\u0107i prema \u201cspiritualizaciji\u201c ciklusa slikar je sve vi\u0161e eliminirao govor kontura, sintaksu parcelacije polja, a prepu\u0161tao se jedino prepletu bojanih matica i pritoka, valovima i vijugama nervature \u0161to je vodila senzibilnom (senzualnom?) zasi\u0107enju kadra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">U svakom slu\u010daju novi ciklus slika Zlatana Vrkljana predstavlja va\u017ean autorov korak u pravcu maksimalizma imanentnih likovnih zahtjeva, a svojom katarkti\u010dkom usmjereno\u0161\u0107u i ulogom znatno pridonosi reafirmaciji medija kojim se slikar slu\u017ei i kojemu &#8211; jednako ponizno koliko i samosvjesno \u2013 slu\u017ei.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>iz teksta predgovora izlo\u017ebe Tonka Maroevi\u0107a<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Zlatan Vrkljan<\/strong> ro\u0111en je 1955. u Zagebu. Diplomirao je na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagebu 1979. u klasi prof. \u0160ime Peri\u0107a.
