Završna prezentacija razvojne urbane performativne radionice koju je osmislio i režirao Boris Bakal u suradnji s Emmom Szabo i izvođačima – sudionicima radionice: Layla Betti, Lara Finadri, Sosso Hatzimanoli, Elisa Pinna, Sara Ricci, Christian Trafficante.

Šest urbanih putovanja istražuju urbani prostor gradića Pergine Valsugana, isprepletenih s dokumentarnim pričama i izmišljenim događajima izloženim i dekonstruiranim poput mjesta zločina, a potom pretvorenih u unutarnju potragu za blagom koja uključuje gledatelje kao protagoniste priče.

BACAČI SJENKI – je neprofitna međunarodna kazališna, umjetnička i produkcijska platforma za interdisciplinarnu suradnju, stvaralaštvo, istraživanje, kao i promišljanje novih umjetničkih jezika, posebice u području izvedbenih umjetnosti, urbanih i javnih umjetničkih djela, novih medija i njihovih hibrida. Osnivači Boris Bakal i Katarina Pejović čine njezinu kreativnu i produkcijsku jezgru sa sjedištem u Zagrebu.

BS kontinuirano potiču dijalog i aktivnu razmjenu između hrvatskih i inozemnih umjetnika / profesionalaca kroz: propitivanje postojećih koncepata individualnog i kolektivnog identiteta, istraživanje prirode procesa globalizacije, koje se bave socijalnim, političkim i kulturnim pitanjima kao što su politike javnog prostora, posljedice tranzicijskih procesa, status i oblici intimnosti i sustavne proizvodnje amnezije i diskontinuiteta.
Aktivnosti BS su u rasponu od intermedialne predstave, projekata kulturne memorije, urbanističko-ljudske mreže, aktivističkih projekata, neformalnog obrazovanja, radionica, predavanja, konferencije, urbanih performansa, instalacija i izložbi.

Za svoj rad, BS su primili razna priznanja i nagrade, među njima i Posebnu nagradu žirija u Beogradu 2007 Bitef – Ex-pozicije; nagrada Avazov Zmaj na MESS Sarajevo 2008 – za cijelu trilogiju Proces_Grad, glavnu nagradu Oblak u 2009 PUF u Puli – Ex-pozicija; Specijalnu nagradu žirija na 2009 Bitef – Odmor od povijesti, glavnu nagradu Oblak u 2010 PUF – Odmor od povijesti.

Projekti BS su do sada okupili više od 300 umjetnika i stručnjaka iz 26 zemalja širom svijeta. Boris Bakal rođen je u Zagrebu, Hrvatska. Tijekom svoje svestrane karijere, autor je kazališnih i filmskih projekata, predstava, predavanja, instalacija i multimedijalnih kreacija koje su prezentirane na festivalima, manifestacijama i izložbama u Austriji, Belgiji, Bosni i Hercegovini, Hrvatskoj, Češkoj, Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Mađarskoj, Italiji, Luksemburgu, Makedoniji, Crnoj Gori, Nizozemskoj, Rumunjskoj, Rusiji, Senegalu, Srbiji, Sloveniji, Španjolskoj, Švicarskoj, Velikoj Britanijiji, SAD, Kosovu (uključujući i Bologna kulturni predstolnica Europe 2000, Steirischer Herbst, Beluard Bollwerk International, Eurokaz, Bitef, INTERFERENCES i MESS). Bio je gostujući istraživač / predavač na New York University (1998.), Stony Brook University (1999.), SACI Studio Art centers International (Firenza, 2000), Sveučilištu Columbia (New York, 2003). Su-osnivač je više umjetničkih i aktivističkih platformi i udruženja: Bacači Sjenki, Flying University, Orchestra Stolpnik, Antiratna kampanja Hrvatske i Teatar očiglednih pojava.

Emma Szabó je multi-medijalna umjetnica, rođena u Beogradu, Srbija. Nakon srednje glazbene škole upisuje Odjel za povijest umjetnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu, a zatim diplomirao (MA) na odjelu fotografije fakulteta primijenjenih umjetnosti Sveučilišta u Beogradu (2012). Od 2008. radil kao glavni fotograf Jugoslovenskog dramskog pozorišta (JDP) u Beogradu, gdje je bila angažirana u više od 20 velikih scenskih projekata. Kao kazališna fotografkinja bila je i sudionik brojnih kazališnih festivala (TIBA, BELEF …). Dobitnica je nagrade na “natjecanju za Nove Ideje” Kulturnog centra Beograda (2012). Mnogi njeni radovi objavljeni su u raznim publikacijama, časopisima i dnevnim novinama.

Final presentation of the developmental Urban Performing Workshop conceived and directed by Boris Bakal

Six urban voyages explore urban space of Pergine Valsugana, interlaced with documentary stories and fictional events exposed and deconstructed like a crime scene and than transformed in interior treasure hunt as it encircle the spectators in order to make them protagonists of the stories.

BACAČI SJENKI (SHADOW CASTERS) – non-profit international theatre, artistic and production platform dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration, creation, exploration as well as reflection of new artistic languages, especially in the domain of performing arts, urban and public art, new media and its hybrids, co-founded by Boris Bakal and Katarina Pejovic.
SC continuously instigate dialogue and active exchange between Croatian and international artists/professionals through: questioning the existing concepts of individual and collective identities; exploring the nature of globalization processes; dealing with social, political and cultural issues such as the politics of public space, the consequences of transition processes, the status and forms of intimacy and systematic production of amnesia and discontinuity.
SC activities range from intermedia performances, cultural memory projects, urban-human networks, artivist projects, informal education, workshops, to lectures, conferences, urban performances, installations and exhibitions.
For their work, SC have received various recognitions and awards, among them Special Jury Award at the 2007 Belgrade BITEF – Ex-Position; Avaz Dragon Award at the 2008 Sarajevo MESS – the entire trilogy Process_City; the main award Cloud at the 2009 PUF in Pula – Ex-Position; Special Jury Award at 2009 BITEF – Vacation From History; the main award Cloud at the 2010 PUF – Vacation From History.
SC projects have thus far gathered over 300 artists and professionals from 26 countries world-wide. Boris Bakal was born in Zagreb, SFRJ (now Republic of Croatia). Throughout his versatile career, he authored theatre and film projects, performances, lectures, installations and multimedia creations which have been presented at the festivals exhibitions and manifestations in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA, Kosovo and the former Yugoslavia (including Bologna Cultural Capital of Europe 2000, Steirischer Herbst, Bollwerk Beluard International, Eurokaz, BITEF, INTERFERENCES and MESS). He was visiting scholar/researcher/lecturer on: New York University (1998.), Stony Brook University (1999.), SACI Studio Art Centers International (Florence, 2000), Columbia University (New York, 2003). He is co-founder of several artistic and activists platforms and associations, e.g. Shadow Casters, Flying University, Orchestra Stolpnik, Croatian Antiwar Campaign and Theatre of Obvious Phenomena.

Emma Szabó is multi-media artist, born in Belgrade, Serbia. After Secondary Music School she enrolled Art History Department at Faculty of Philosophy and then graduated (MA) at the Photography department, Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade (2012). Since 2008 she was working as main stage photographer at Yugoslav Drama Theater (JDP) in Belgrade, where she was engaged in more than 20 major stage projects. As stage photographer she was also participant of many theater festivals (TIBA, BELEF…). She is the recipient of “Competition for New Ideas” grant , DOB cultural centre of the City of Belgrade (2012). Many of her work was published in various publications, magazines and daily newspapers.
